Well, if you ask us, we love our rum poured out of a bottle, but did you know there are a zillion ways to enjoy it? If rum’s got you feeling fancy you got to scroll down for this epic dessert coma.

1. Rum Truffles Recipe
The only struggle in making these yummy rum truffle balls is where to hide them until the festive season begins!

Ingredients -
4 cups firmly packed chocolate cake crumbs
 ½ cup Captain Morgan Original Rum
1 tablespoon instant coffee powder
 1 tablespoon cocoa powder
 ¼ cup boiling water
200gm (¾ cup) sweetened condensed milk
150gm packet chocolate sprinkles
1 cup desiccated coconut
400gm dark chocolate, melted

Method - 
1. Crumble cake into a bowl, drizzle with Captain Morgan Original Rum and set aside for 10 minutes to soak. In another medium-sized bowl, mix coffee, cocoa, and water in a medium bowl and stir in condensed milk. Pour this into the cake crumbs and stir.
2. Roll 1 tablespoon of mixture into a ball and transfer to a tray. Repeat with remaining mixture. Refrigerate for 30 minutes.
3. Add chocolate sprinkles and desiccated coconut in a large bowl and mix well. Dip balls in melted chocolate to lightly coat, then toss balls in sprinkles mixture. Return to tray and refrigerate for 10 minutes or until chocolate sets.

2. Banana Rum Bread Pudding
What can we do with those leftover ripe bananas? Slice them up and throw them in a bowl and make some banana rum bread pudding! 

Ingredients -
250 gm of soft enriched white bread; cut into 1-inch cubes
1/2 cup caramel baking chips
1 ripe banana, sliced
1 1/4 cups whole milk
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
2 Tablespoons Captain Morgan Original Rum
1/4 cup sugar
1/4 cup light brown sugar, packed
1/4 teaspoon fine sea salt

Method -
1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Lightly butter 9-inch pie plate and set aside. 2. In a large bowl, add sliced Captain Morgan Original Rum, sugar, brown sugar, and salt. Pour liquid mixture over bread slices. Toss to combine. 
3. Transfer mixture into prepared pie plate. Allow bread to soak for 10 minutes. Bake for 40-50 minutes until bread pudding has slightly puffed up. Let bread pudding sit for 10 minutes to slightly cool. Dust with powdered sugar if desired, and serve warm.

3. Vanilla Rum Soaked French Toast
French toast is easily my favourite breakfast to start the day. This recipe is so simple, we bet you will nail it the first time! 

Ingredients -
3 large eggs
2 tablespoons sugar
1 tablespoon vanilla syrup
1 teaspoon cinnamon
2 tablespoons Captain Morgan Original Rum
Pinch of salt
6-8 slices of thickly sliced French bread

Method –
1. Whisk together eggs, sugar, vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg, Captain Morgan Original Rum, and salt. Soak bread slices in egg mixture for at least 4 to 5 minutes. Make sure it does not get too soggy.
2. Heat a large pan and lightly oil it on medium-high. Place the bread slices and cook for 3 to 4 minutes on each side, or until French toast is a light golden brown.
3. Serve hot with maple syrup, butter, or powdered sugar (or all three!) with a side of fresh fruit.

4. Rum and Chocolate Cake in a Jar
We love chocolate. We love cute jars. Period. 

Ingredients –
½ cup butter 
250 gm of dark chocolate, chopped
1⁄2 cup sugar
1⁄2 cup light brown sugar
4 eggs
1 teaspoon baking powder
3 tablespoons Captain Morgan Original Rum
3 tablespoons coffee
whipped cream for serving

Method –
1. Preheat oven to 350°F.  Place butter and chocolate in a double boiler and melt together. 
2. Pour the mixture into a large bowl with sugars and mix well. Add eggs, baking powder, rum, and coffee. Stir well.  
3. Pour into 4 well-greased pint jars and bake for 30 minutes. They will rise and fall again— they are supposed to fall. Let them cool slightly and serve with whipped cream.
