Don't W(h)ine, Mix Up These Grape Cocktails Instead
While grapes are popular for being used in making wines and brandy, it is a great ingredient to make cocktails too. You can either use grape juice or the raw fruit to get the sweet flavour in your cocktail. It’s a tricky flavour to add depending on what form you choose. But I have made things easier for you by curating a list of my top grapes cocktail recipes.

1. Smashing Grape Cocktail
This is the perfect sipper to have a smashing good time just as the name suggests. Made using simple syrup, lemon juice and honey this grape cocktail balances the sweet and savoury for an unmatched treat.
Ingredients
60ml Smirnoff Vodka
4ml Soda Water
2tbsp Lemon Juice
2tbsp Simple Syrup
1tbsps Honey
1/2cup Green Grapes
6 Fresh Mint Leaves
Ice
Method
Place the grapes in a cocktail shaker and muddle until a juicy pulp has formed.
Pour the pulp through into a bowl through a sieve and reserve the juice.
Mash some mint leaves in the cocktail shaker gently with a spoon or muddle to release the fragrance. Now, pour simple syrup, lemon juice and grape juice.
Stir the contents and top with honey and ice.
Shake and pour into a glass. Top the drink with soda water and garnish with fresh grapes.
2. Fresh Grape Crush
Made using freshly squeezed lemon juice and muddled red grapes this cocktail is oh-so-yum! Plus, think of all the vitamin C, what’s not to love?
Ingredients:
60ml Smirnoff Vodka
30 to 90ml Soda Water, to taste
1tsp Fresh Lemon Juice
45ml Grape Juice
8 Seedless Red Grapes
Lemon Wheel, for garnish
Ice
Method:
In a mixing glass, muddle the grapes.
Add in ice, Smirnoff Vodka, lemon juice and grape juice.
Shake until the contents are mixed well.
Now, strain over a cocktail glass filled with ice.
Top it off with soda water. Garnish with a lemon wheel. Cheers!

3. Concord Grapes Moscow Mule
Who doesn’t love the classic Moscow Mule? Try this grape version for a fruity and refreshing twist. I bet you will fall in love with this alcoholic beverage at the first sip too.
Ingredients:
45ml Smirnoff Vodka
120ml to 180ml Ginger Beer
30ml Concord Grapes Simple Syrup
15ml Freshly Squeezed Lime Juice
Crushed Ice
Method:
Pour Smirnoff vodka, Concord grapes syrup and lime juice into a copper mug filled with crushed ice. Top it with ginger beer. Garnish with fresh concord grapes. Enjoy your drink!

This fizzy and yummy cocktail has fans galore. Serve it at your next house party or potluck event and you have yourself a winner.
Ingredients:
60ml Smirnoff Vodka
1/4cup Grape Juice
Club Soda
1 Lemon Wedge
2 Sprigs Fresh Mint
1tsp Sugar
Ice Cubes
1 Small Bunch Concord Grapes, for serving
Method:
Place mint and lemon in a cocktail shaker, add sugar and muddle to combine.
Now, add the vodka and grape juice.
Fill the shaker with ice and shake to mix well.
Fill a glass with ice. Strain the contents into the glass.
Top it with club soda. Lastly, garnish with concord grapes. Drink it up!
5. Concord Cosmopolitan Martini
Martinis are delicious as it is but this grape version enhances the taste of your drink by a notch. Concord grape juice adds a depth to the cocktail making it a natural choice of many vodka lovers.
Ingredients:
60ml Smirnoff Vodka
120ml Concord Grapes Juice
30ml Orange Liqueur
Method:
Pour all the ingredients into a cocktail shaker over ice. Cover and shake vigorously till the ingredients are mixed well. Strain into a chilled martini glass. Voila!
