A signature cocktail is a lot like your own John Hancock—it leaves an indelible mark. Whether you are having a fun get together with your friends or hosting a formal dinner, a good cocktail will up the entire feel of your party. They’re also engaging and they promote discussion, which is a great way to help people connect while socialising. But how does one go about composing the perfect signature drink? To help us out with this, we spoke to Hemant Mundkur, the expert and Brand Ambassador at Diageo India.

Here are a few recipes that will take your scene to the next level.

1. Signature Earl
The perfect winter cocktail! Spiked with classic notes of Earl Grey and Honey, finished with good Signature whisky.

Ingredients
50ml Signature Premier whisky
50ml Earl Grey tea
1 tsp. of honey
Top it up with tonic water
Ice

Method
Add all the ingredients in a shaker. Build it over ice and stir well. Garnish with an orange slice. 

2. Signature 8
Tamarind whisky is one of the most delicious cocktails you can drink. Have you tried it yet? 

Ingredients
50ml Signature Premier whisky
20ml tamarind pulp
45ml pineapple juice
15ml sugar syrup 
Ice

Method
Add all the ingredients and build it over ice and shake. 
Garnish with some tamarind. 

3. Signature Sour
This whisky sour is yours for the making year-round.

Ingredients
50ml Signature Premier Whisky
20ml lime juice
12.5ml sugar syrup
Egg white 
Ice

Method
In an old fashioned, mix all the ingredients and shake. Garnish with an orange peel.

4. Signature Rob Roy
This classic cocktail will leave your guests impressed. 

Ingredients
50ml Signature Premier whisky
25ml sweet vermouth
2 dashes bitters 
Marachino Cherry
Ice

Method
Mix the Signature Premier whisky, sweet vermouth and 2 dashes of bitters in a coupe glass. Add ice and stir well. Garnish with Marachino Cherry.

5. Premier Julep 
Create magic with this vanilla syrup based cocktail. 

Ingredients
50ml Signature Premier whisky
50ml mango juice
15ml vanilla syrup 
3 to 4 mint leaves

Method
Add all the ingredients, ice and and shake it. 
Garnish with mint sprig.
