Eat and gin ways you can pair them
A great way to spend a hot summer day is getting your hands on a classic G&T. What can be a little harder but also fun, is picking what food you want to eat with it. Luckily enough, a lot of fun food goes really well with G&T. That being said, when pairing food with your drink it's always good to keep in mind that you need to balance the flavours. So the next time you're having a G&T and you want to eat something that goes along,we’ve got a few appetizers for you.
Seafood is always a great go-to. The flavours compliment the bright G&T rather well.
Smoked Salmon:
Smoked Salmon with a little spice is a delicious option. Gravlax which is the fat in smoked salmon provides a really rich flavour when combined with G&T.
Prawns & Shrimps:
Shrimps go unnaturally well with a G&T. Prawns toasted with sesame seeds are a delightful match as well.
Fish & Chips:
Contrary to popular belief, Fish and chips is a refreshing contrast to the rich smack from the cocktail. You can go ahead and serve a dollop of aioli the side as well.
There are a ton of options that aren’t seafood as well.
Cucumber sandwiches:
Cucumber finger sandwiches are a pairing you definitely need to try. They make the entire experience super refreshing.
Strong Cheese:
You can never go wrong with a little cheese. G&Ts pair amazingly with strongly flavoured ones. Manchego or Stilton served with crackers is one of the G&Ts best partners.
Other foods that also go quite well with a G&T are berries, paté, popcorn and even fudge. Lamb curry is also a surprisingly great match.
