Food And Drinks At Molecule, It’s Chemistry I Tell You!
Sector 29, Gurgaon has earned quite the reputation for being a party place. Molecule Air Bar is seated like nobility among the bars there. The mellow indoor lighting with random pops of neon-lit quotes and metallic vibes make this place feel as young and fun as the crowd that hangs out here. They have a spacious open-air deck and the place offers a lot more than ambience. Here is a little sample from my evening there, for you!
Chicken Air Bread
This little pita pocket explosion is everything! And I mean everything!! It'got cheese, chicken and flavour! They look like innocent little squares topped with chicken, but man, do they pack in an explosive surprise! It’s all about the cheese, chicken and cilantro. It came to our table dressed up in a pretty cane basket kind-of plate and, it looks cute too!
Indo Western Alliance
Sugar, spice, citrus and everything nice- this Smirnoff Vodka offering is an ideal accompaniment to any food you're in the mood for! It is mild, well-blended and tasty. It is also pretty cute with a charred lime slice for garnish that lends it a smoked aftertaste.
Molecule Chicken Strips
If you were expecting tiny molecule sized morsels with this dish, you're in for a surprise! 'Strips' sort of under-sells the portion of this serving. They're crispy, large and satisfying - with sriracha sauce adding the necessary spice and zest you will enjoy.
Smokey Whisky Spice
Have you ever drunk a glazed cinnamon donut? Yeah well, the Smokey Whisky Spice is exactly what it tastes like. I have never been more happy to find a cocktail-dessert made with Johnnie Walker Black Label whisky. Smoothness in a sip and happiness in a glass tastes like donuts you can drink! Even the garnish says "molecool!"
Clove Smoked Chicken Tikka
Chicken Tikka is a North-Indian staple. These succulent pieces were served on a grill with smoked cloves underneath to add to the flavour. While the quantity was good, it didn’t taste as memorable as the other dishes I ordered. They simply felt like chicken tikka to me.
Amuse Bouche
Molecule Bar knows their desserts, and presentation! These flavourful molecule sized offerings simply surprised us in the best way possible. Lychee, strawberry mousse and caviar all at once- amused much? Taste it, you will be!
I'm thinking of Gossip Girl here, “Once men have tasted caviar, it baffles me how they settle for catfish.” and oh boy, do I agree!!!
TL;DR I GOAT you
Overall, the place is vibrant and colourful in spite of it's mellow lighting. They have live bands and themed nights. Their servers are accommodating and really sweet and their bartenders know how to mix a mean cocktail! Their signature cocktails are a must-try! You must go here to try this favourite drink you will most surely love -the cinnamon donut!!
