New outlet alert: Lord of the Drinks, Powai

When I heard that Lord of the Drinks is opened in Powai, I was like “yeh calm kya hota hai?” Seriously, I couldn’t keep calm. With its quirky decor, mind-blowing cocktails and the happening vibe, I’ve made up my mind; this place is going to be my new weekend scene.

As soon as you enter this place, you’ll see that it’s quite lit (literally). You won’t be able to take your eyes off the bar, it’s not just well-stocked, but their innovative glassware on shelves is quite a worthy sight! One thing that really caught my attention was the forearm and palm-shaped pillar supporting the bar area, it really does “raise the bar.”

Now, it’s finally time to show you what Lord of the Drinks menu has to offer.

Melon Twist

Served in a horn-shaped glass and made with vodka, coriander, watermelon, passion fruit, basil and cinnamon, this drink made me go like “whoa!” Seriously, when you’re here, you’ve got to order this one!

Galactic G & T

I mean, just look at this beauty! So classy, right? All the flavours are blended in so perfectly that you’ll fall in love at first sip. With its edible flower petals and the blueberry garnish stick, this drink is sure to hit your refresh button.

Butter Beer

Whiskey, vodka, lager, Tennessee honey, caramel, egg white, and apple juice come together in a glass to create the yummiest cocktail ever! Turns out this place is spot on with its name game “Lord of the Drinks” as every drink seems to be fab and perfect.

Chicken Wings

Chicken wings are my go-to starter. Usually, I pick the one with barbeque sauce, but this time I went for the peri peri. To be honest, I’ve had better wings but this calmed my hunger pangs too. Served with a side of sour cream, this starter is simple yet satisfying.

Mushroom Galouti Kabab

Here’s something interesting about galouti kabab: This melt- in- the-mouth delicacy was invented to feed a toothless king. That’s right! The Nawabs were men of taste and their love for food was eternal. So, when the king could no longer chew, they invented Galouti kabab. How cool is that? Anyway, since I always have room for mushrooms, I ordered mushroom galouti kabab. It was creamy, smooth and flavourful. I did enjoy it.

Grilled Fish Fillet

Served on a bed of bell peppers and veggies, this dish is grilled to perfection and topped with caramelised onions. It’s fresh, full of flavours and filling. Now, who wouldn’t want a taste of this?
