Too Broke To Fly To Italy? Hail A Cab to Juhu’s Cecconi’s Instead!
Close your eyes, just for a moment, and picture the waves crashing. As a light wind blows through your hair, you get a whiff of freshly baked pizza in the air…Mmmm.
Glasses clink, giggles arise, and you are now officially in an Italian state of mind.
Gosh, such a #travelgram worthy picture, right?
But what if I tell you that visual was not a plane (whew) but simply a cab ride away from Juhu’s Soho House where you can get a slice of Italy (literally).
Soho House’s Cecconi’s has got everything you’d want in a restaurant – a panoramic sea-view, a solid menu of all things dolce vita, and delish drinks!
Keep reading for the deets.
Octopus With Rocket And Cherry Tomato
While I believe that the number one reason to go to Cecconi’s is for prime celebrity spotting, this bowl of Octopus served with tender rocket leaves would make it take a back seat. On top of the fact that this makes for an incredible salad, it’s served on a bed of lemon aioli. You do the math.
Arancini With Sundried Tomato And Baby Spinach
The parmesan flavour in this dish is very strong, but in the best way possible!
And naturally, sharing is SO not an option. Hoard these like you’re Thanos and the arancini are the Infinity Stones.
Pizza Romana
A work of art on a plate. The perfectly charred crust that Cecconi’s always manages to ace, topped with buffalo mozzarella, capers, olives, basil, and *surprise* anchovies is spot on. You just “knead” to have this dough on your table!
Vanilla Pannacotta With Caramelised Apple
Everyone knows that soft vanilla ice cream and warm, caramelised apple are a match made in heaven. But when you add pannacotta to the equation, you get a love triangle better than a K-Jo movie. Bring it on, cavities!
Bunet
This is the kind of dessert that makes you say ‘Oh yeahhh’ out loud. Why? Maybe it’s the crème caramel. Maybe it’s the smoky coffee. Maybe it’s the fact that it’s not a boring Tiramisu. Nevertheless, a splendid way to finish off your meal.
tl;dr? I GOAT You!
If you’ve got a soft spot for Italian food, potted plants, and eating wood fired pizza by the sea, Cecconi’s definitely should be on your radar. Open for lunch, dinner, and brunch on Sundays, it’s perfect for two, or a few of you!
