Desi dad jokes have a totally different punchline, don't they? 
Not to mention ma's chatpata kitchen humour or every teacher’s favourite question “Is this a class or a fish
market?” Indian comedy is a whole other world of flavours, and Indian Origin comics aren't afraid to serve it up to the West. 

But, you see, we’ve always been perceived as the geeky kind. Until this bunch of Indian origin made us laugh into splits.     

Lilly Singh

That sounds a lot like my mom too. This is what our girl Superwoman did. She put the most relatable instances out there and made us all go ROFL. She recently dropped her moniker ‘Superwoman’ and is hosting her very own show “A Little Late With Lilly Singh” and is slaying it with the biggies. 

Russell Peters
When it’s Russell Peters, you know it’s rib-tickling comedy. I mean, come on! How hard does the desi kid in you relate to “Somebody gonna get a hurt real bad”? And how many times has the shopkeeper asked you to “Take it and go. Take it and go!” Been there, heard that. Right?

Mindy Kaling
“My body is attracted to your body. But, when you talk, my brain hurts.” Almost all of us have felt this way at some point. Am I right or am I right?  Mindy from the ‘Mindy Project’ and Kelly Kapoor from ‘The Office’ is one of the most loved comedians of Indian origin (from Chennai) who made us laugh our lungs out and is continuing to do so.

Aziz Ansari
Aziz Ansari aka Tom Haverford from the show ‘Parks and Recreation’ is one character you’ll fall in love with. If you haven’t watched it...watch it already! He’s also the man who has tremendous respect for chickenpox. Don’t believe me? To quote him “Shout out to chickenpox. The only disease that says ‘you know what, we did our thing once, now I’m out of here forever, peace.” Yep. He’s hilarious!

Hasan Minhaj
Apparently Hasan Minhaj once asked his father about his favourite colour and his father  replied “Stanford.” I can so relate to this! Indian parents and their expectations right? This boy from UP is vocal about everything and he ensures that he delivers his message with a punch of humour.
