While there was nothing wrong with these roles, the repetitive and poorly defined characters almost became the typical Indian stereotypes – hard to shake off. 

 

Cut to the scene today where Indian-origin actors are not just making us proud by pulling off dimensional ethnic characters, but also challenging the conventional roles expected of them. They are boldly rubbing shoulders with the Hollywood A-listers and representing us on the international map.
