Reel-Life Bollywood Bromances That Are Giving Us #YaariGoals
As someone who has been bitten by the Bollywood ‘keeda’, we love to see our favourite couples romancing on the big screen. From Raj and Simran to Badri and Vaidehi, we have lost count of the times we have seen them blossom in love. But there’s also a different side to our movie industry that epitomises the bonding between two male co-stars giving us some serious ‘yaari’ goals.
Here are some of the most epic bromances that made us laugh, got us teary-eyed and left a deep impression on us.
Dil Chahta Hai
Road trip, winning over someone else’s girlfriend and trolling your bro for his choice in girls – this cult movie had all the elements of a bromance. A fun, yet emotional journey of Sid, Sameer and Akash that is still relevant almost 18 years after its release.
P.S. Yes, we are all so old, it hurts!
Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara (ZNMD)
How can you not talk of ZNMD when there’s a mention of Dil Chahta Hai? In fact, it wouldn’t be too wrong to call it Zoya Akhtar’s version of DCH. The bond that she managed to capture between the three yaars Arjun, Kabir and Imran looked so realistic. Not to forget the new entry in everyone’s bucket list after watching the movie – “ROAD TRIP IN SPAIN!!!!’
Delhi Belly
Only a true yaar can wash his backside with another yaar’s orange juice. Mehehe! In this hysterical cocktail drama about dysentery and diamonds, the terrific trio of Nitin, Arup and Tashi had us in splits with the sheer craziness involved in their lives. We are still not sure why someone hasn't made a sequel to this genius-of-a-movie already?? Are any directors reading this?
Dostana
This 2008’s movie gave us some serious “hawts” for John Abraham and Abhishek Bachchan who pretended to be gay in the movie. Their insane chemistry was so overpowering, we don’t think we even gave all that attention to the ‘desi girl’ herself. And, the way the two joined forces together against Bobby Deol set new goals for friendship.
3 Idiots
How can we ever forget the movie that taught us "Dosti insaan ka sabse bada ‘stan' hota hai" *giggles*
3 idiots took us on a major emotional rollercoaster with such rib-tickling scenes on one hand and touching scenes on the other that had us bawling like a baby. We still get goosebumps on hearing ‘Jaane nahi denge tujhe' with the scenes of Rancho clearing traffic for the ambulance carrying Raju.
What do you have to do to deserve a bromance like this is real life? *holds back tears*
