Things We've All Said In Our Bachpan While Playing Cricket
Remember playing cricket with your childhood building friends? Gone are the days when we would come down to play cricket on a lazy Sunday afternoon. Some days we would bunk tuitions and ask people around for a coin to flip for the toss or sometimes flip the bat instead.
Our desi jugaad peppered with some dramatic dialogues made our bachpan the best years of our lives. We all dreamt of joining the Indian cricket team, and the Royal Challenge Bold League is a great opportunity to play with the boys in red, including Virat Kohli. All you have to do is gather your own team and register to take on the Royal Challengers Bangalore!
So, while you’re still planning to take the field, here are some dialogues we’ve all said in our childhood while playing cricket with friends.
1. “Mera Bat Hai, Pehli Meri Batting”
Rule no. 1 in cricket. If it is my bat, I will bat first. Period.
“Mah life. Mah rulez”
2. “One Tappi Out”
This rule was set in stone. Or how else would we even get another chance at batting again?
3. “Chalo Paise Ka Match Khelte Hai”
“Tabhi itne paise kahan milte the? Dus, 20 ka match khelte the.”
4. “Yeh Trial Ball Tha”
No game was ever played without a trail ball. Hands down!
5. “Kaccha Limbu”
Admit it, we’ve all been kaccha limbu at one point or the other.
6. “Mera Bat Merko Do Baar Batting”
Hell hath no fury if you didn’t get to bat only because it was your bat. “Mummy, Rahul batting karne nahi de raha hai”
7. “Pehle Batting Kiya To Pehle Balling Nahi”
“Tum cheating nahi kar sakte”
8. “Building Ke Bahar Out”
Wasn’t this an obvious rule?
9. “Uncle Ball Do Na Please”
Been there. Done that.
On another note, haven’t we all broken a glass pane and ran away?Sorry uncle.
10. “Tune Maara Tu Jaake La”
We’ve fought and fought again, par “kya yaar bunty! Tune maara tu jaake ball la”
The league has already begun, catch the upcoming Madhya Pradesh finals on the 20th of January and get a chance to see Amit Trivedi perform LIVE.
