1. Gully Boy
Not so long ago, the rap-rage took over the country. Children, youngsters and adults were all rapping to the tunes of Gully Boy. Apart from the music, the life story of the protagonist Murad was something that captivated all. Murad’s journey of following his passion and liberating himself from the claustrophobic circumstances of his everyday reality hit a nerve among everyone who’s ever felt like this.
2. Ant-Man
Undoubtedly, Ant-Man is the most underrated hero in the MCU. Scott Lang a.k.a Ant-Man was a criminal before he wore his superhero suit. But just when we were forgetting about him, he emerges in one of the most important movies of the series and saves the world. Classic underdog move, right?
3. Wake Up Sid
We’ve all gone through a phase in life where we’ve needed a little waking up. Stuck between parental pressure and following our dreams can be tiring. And what do you do when you are tired? You sleep…ask Sid, he agrees. Sid reminds us of our early adulthood where we were all so unsure about life but had to take those big decisions. 4. Taare Zameen Par
You can’t go through this movie without a tissue box by your side. 5. Isn’t It Romantic
This is a rom-com parody for people who hate rom-coms (but also secretly love them). Unlike most plots where the underdog rises to a slow victory, this one throws victory a.k.a the perfect life (with the perfect job, house and boyfriend) right into the protagonist, Natalie’s face at the start of the movie. However, negative Natalie won’t accept this fairy-tale life and all you want to do is shake her up a little and push this self-declared underdog to rise above her own cynicism.
Have you ever felt like an underdog? Well, remember your happy ending awaits you too. So, hang in there.
