If there’s one thing that I don’t ever mind doing is watching a good movie while snuggling up in my blanket in bed. All I have to do is, make some popcorn, dim the lights, get comfy and watch any movie that I like.
Thanks to Netfflix, Prime, and Hotstar, I can watch movies from my home itself. And, you know what the best part is? You can ugly cry without anyone judging you or having to share your snacks too!

Recently released and trending on Netflix in the ‘Top 10 Movies in India Today’ list, this feel-good movie will surely win your heart. The film revolves around the story of a Parsi widow who runs a bakery. Accompanying her is her 19-year-old son who wants to do nothing with the bakery and join Bollywood. Showcasing their journey together, Manisha Koirala has done an impressive job to ace that ‘Parsi accent’ and even endear the audience with her quirks! Heartfelt and quirky, you should definitely watch this movie!
2. Lion

Based on a true story, the film is about an Indian boy who gets lost and is later adopted by an Australian couple. He sets on a journey to find his birth mother using maps and GPS! Dev Patel, the lead of the story, crawls into the skin of the character and adds depth to the story that leaves us wondering just about everything! A total tear-jerker, Lion will make you feel things that you haven’t in a while!
3. Parasite

Once you sit down to watch this tragic-comedy film, you will just not be able to stop yourself from watching it! It draws a parallel between two families, one rich and one poor. The latter mooching off the former, the story takes an unforeseen turn of events that will leave you gasping till the end. From stellar acting to direction, this film bagged so many Academy Awards for a reason and rightly so! This is one movie that has made its mark and you should watch it NOW!

In the mood for some light-hearted comedy? Then, you should definitely watch Good Newwz. All about two couples struggling to have babies and then later finding out that the IVF went wrong, this movie is a real mood uplifter. This film is filled with comical punches, hilarious turn of events and just the right dose of ‘emotional drama’ that leaves you with a warm fuzzy feeling by the end!
5. Chhichhore

Chhichhore is just the flash from the past that you’re looking from. An ode to those carefree college days, this movie will instantly transport you to an evening spent with your friend in your hostel corridors. This movie makes us reminisce about the days that are gone but also look forward to the times that we’ll spend with our friends again!
6. Shaurya

Oldie but goldie, Shaurya is a court-martial drama of two army men who play defence attorney and prosecutor for a cadet who is apparently accused of murder. This film is not like any other because it takes the concept of love for the country and gives it a very realistic touch that deals with a lot of biases, prejudices and antagonism. It is like a breath of fresh air during the times of overly dramatised movies that compensate for a story by adding remixes of old Hindi hit songs!
