7 Sony Max Films Re-runs That We Wish Someone Would Rescue Us From
You know how on weekends you wait to watch television premiers of new movies that you couldn’t catch in a theatre with your yaars! (I’m not talking about those of you hogging your friends Netflix account) If it were left up to Sony Max that may never happen. Because honestly, their cassette seems to have got stuck somewhere in the '90s. When was the last time you remember watching a good film on it? Entertainment ke naam pe dhoka ho raha hai hamare saath bhaisahab!
Correct me if I’m wrong, but these are the only all-time favourite movies of Sony Max that keep playing on an endless loop, no matter what day, what hour.
1. Sooryavansham
If only someone gave me a dollar for every time Sony Max played this movie, I’d be a millionaire by now. Seriously, every time I see a bearded and grumpy Amitabh Bachchan on screen, I know it is Bhanu Pratap getting pissed at his look-alike son YET AGAIN.
2. Don No. 1
Sometimes I wonder what sort of sadistic person would derive pleasure out of making Indian audiences suffer at home watching South dubbed movies on a Sunday. Kya paap kiye the humne, Sony Max?
3. Zanjeer
When you need a break from Don No. 1 and Sooryavansham, say no more because our favourite Hindi movie channel has a plan for us. And by a plan, I mean to telecast another equally loopy movie that has us pulling our hair out.
4. Beta
If I see this movie one more time I swear to God mera dil ‘dhak dhak’ karna bandh kar dega!! Sony Max, if you are reading this, please do something about it? We deserve better *cries*
5. Judaai
I have only one question – Is movie se hume kab judaai milegi? Enough said.
6. Jaani Dushman
Oh, God! This movie brings back so many memories I don't quite know where to begin. Manisha Koirala's makeup, a series of CGI scenes gone wrong or the naag naagin dance? Take your pick!
7. Hero No. 1
Yeah, yeah. Before all Govinda fans pounce at me, I know this movie wasn’t half that bad. But to keep watching it over and over. Kya itna bura hu main maa Sony Max?
