We all know how crazy us Indians are about cricket. It is the greatest religion which unites us all and has us rooting for our nation as a whole. With the World Cup fever holding the nation in its grip, the non-cricket fans, like me, can feel a little lost. 

But worry not, because we have the khazaana of the movie world to come to our rescue. Fortunately for us, there are some amazing movies to watch this World Cup Season while your cricket fan folks are glued to their TV screens.

So, go ahead make a bold move and watch these movies if you’re not a cricket fan. 
Here’s the list. Happy Watching!

1. Game Over
Helmed by Ashwin Saravanan, Game Over stars Taapsee Pannu and Vindodhini Vaidyanathan. The Bollywood drama is about a nyctophobic (irrational fear of the night or darkness) woman who must fight her inner demons to stay alive in the game called ‘Life’. The plot and trailer look terrific, this one's worth a watch.

2. Toy Story 4
The recently released Toy Story 4 is garnering so much attention and love of animation movie fans worldwide that it would be a shame to miss it. This year, the movie has Sheriff Woody and Buzz Lightyear out to find Bo Peep and bring her back. 
P.S. Be prepared to cry your weight in tears once again as the movie gets pretty emotional.

3. Spider-Man: Far From Home
Tom Holland is set to be back on 2nd July in the new Spider Man movie and guess who is running around in circles with excitement? YAAAASS! Can’t wait to watch this one. If you are still feeling the withdrawal symptoms of Avengers: Endgame and Marvel, I suggest you don’t miss out on this one.

4. Super 30
Starring Hrithik Roshan and the prolific Pankaj Tripathi, Super 30 is a biographical movie on the life of Anand Kumar, a mathematics genius hailing from a modest family in Bihar. The movie showcases his quest to help underprivileged IIT aspirants crack the entrance test under his training program. 
Anand Kumar’s personal life journey may have been full of difficulties. His story being covered in a half page article in ‘The New York Times’ and being featured in plenty of BBC programs is inspiring. Do watch out for this one.
