Desi Gin And Tonic Recipes That Will Make Your Party Gin-credible!
You know how they say, once you go desi, you never like it angrezi! So, we took our most favourite videsi gin and tonic cocktail and gave it a desi twist!
Be it a mix of cucumber, a dash of chilly or even a pinch of turmeric, it will be more than enough to bring out the desi-ness in you! And, you know what’s the best part? From brunches to lunches, these cocktails will suit any season or reason!

1. Chilly Gin and Tonic
Want to wake up your taste buds? You know what to order!
Ingredients
60ml Tanqueray London Dry Gin
Fresh lime juice (1/8th of the lime)
1 Red Thai Chilli
Tonic water
Ice
Method
Slit the chilli sidewise and add it to the cocktail glass. Then muddle it.
Add lime juice, ice, Tanqueray, and tonic water. Stir and sip!
2. Cucumber and Rose Gin and Tonic Punch
Tell us a combo desi-er than cucumber and rose. I’ll wait!
Ingredients
360ml Tanqueray London Dry Gin (12 servings)
1-litre water
Washed scented rose petals
1 thinly sliced cucumber
Tonic water
Method
Pour water into a shallow tray. Add rose petals and freeze.
With a meat mallet, break it into pieces and freeze as required.
Take a glass, add rose ice, (30ml for 1 serving) Tanqueray, curled ribbon of cucumber and tonic water. And, sip.
3. Ginger And Orange Gin and Tonic
Tang-hurry! Because who would have thought ginger and orange will go together?
Ingredients
80ml Tanqueray London Dry Gin
1 small orange
1 fresh ginger
3-star anise
½ cup of ice
320ml tonic water
Method
Peel wide strips of orange zest using a peeler.
Cut the orange into quarters and add them to a shaker.
Cut the ginger into 4 thick slices and add 2 of them to a shaker.
Add 1-star anise, ice and then Tanqueray. And, shake.
Pour it into a glass, add tonic water and garnish it with the remaining ginger slices, orange zest and star anise.
4. Mango and Black Pepper Gin and Tonic
Serves 2
Mango + Black pepper + Gin = stuff that dreams are made of!
Ingredients
120ml Tanqueray London Dry Gin
360ml tonic water
2 thick slices of mango
Ground black pepper
2 mint sprigs
1 cup ice
Method
Add ice to the glasses and pour Tanqueray and tonic water.
Garnish the drinks with mango slices, ground black pepper and mint sprigs.
And, serve!
5. Turmeric Gin and Tonic
Move over turmeric lattes, this is the next trend millennials will love!
Ingredients
60ml Tumeric infused Tanqueray
180ml chilled tonic water
Rosemary, for garnish
Ice
Method
Fill the glass with ice, add infused Tanqueray and tonic water. Mix.
Garnish with rosemary and enjoy!
