Whisky Cocktails So Good Even Non-Whisky Drinkers Will Like
There are two types of people, one who like whisky and the other type who like vodka, rum, gin, beer and everything else, except whisky. I belong to that second group of people. From where I stand, the world of whisky drinkers seems impenetrable. They describe their drink with a certain poetic elegance while the only two words I have for it are “aah aagh”, followed by a grimace.
Well, it’s safe to say, I am not a whisky person, but I have found a way to overcome my bias and enjoy this fantastic drink better. The solution is, a whisky-based cocktail.
Here are the best whisky cocktails to try, if you like me (think you) don’t like this brown liquor.
1. Mint Julep
Think of this as a minty slushie but with some whisky. Who doesn’t like that, right?

5-6 mint leaves
10ml sugar syrup
Pineapple slice and mint leaves, for garnish
Crushed ice
Method
Bruise the mint leaves in a julep glass.
Add the remaining ingredients to it followed by ice.
Stir it and garnish.
2. Press Pot Whisky Sour
Another trending whisky cocktail is the French press cocktail. This is made in a coffee maker and then left to infuse, giving you a unique flavour.

Shake vigorously.
Strain the mixture into a French press pot over the remaining ingredients.
Let it steep for a few minutes.
Press and pour over large ice cubes in an old-fashioned glass and garnish. Wasn't that quick?
