Too Hungry To Keep Calm? Here Are Some Quick Recipes Just For You
When hunger strikes and you’re low on cash (because end of month scenes), you’ve got to step in the kitchen! And when you’re super hungry, the only thing that can calm your hunger pangs quickly is your quick fixes.
This is why I kept looking for easy recipes and when I found them, I tried them and I loved them. So, I thought let me share them with you.
1. The Green Carbonara
Yes, the green carbonara, because I believe when you add colour to your carbonara, you add colours to life! Pick any long noodles you like, set the pot of water with a pinch of salt to boil. While that heats, fry some bacon. Add pasta to boiling water, and while that cooks, whisk together an egg, 2 egg yolks, 2tsp ground pepper and grated cheese with some pasta water. Now, cut up some spinach and put it in the pasta pot just before draining.
Toss the cooked pasta with the bacon in the pan, add the egg mixture, and toss until it’s warm, creamy and comforting.
Ingredients you need: Bacon, eggs, spinach, pepper, cheese, pasta of your choice
Time taken: 15 to 20 mins

2. Simplicity is the key to fry a fish!
This is my go-to dish. All you need is some basa, masalas that you’ll find in your masala box, ginger- garlic paste and you’re sorted. First up, add some oil in the tawa, marinate the fish with ½ tbsp of masalas, ginger garlic paste and you’re done! Just to spruce up the taste a little, I squeeze half a lemon and cut up some onions on the side.
Ingredients you need are: basa fillets, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, curry powder, oil or butter, lemon juice and salt.

3. The chickpea salad
Kal khana hai toh aaj soak karo! This is what a kabuli chana would say if it could talk. So, soak up chana overnight. Open your fridge to find ingredients like broccoli, capsicum and tomatoes, chop them up. If you want to add a bit of crunch to your salad, chop up an onion or two, cucumber. Now, mix the soaked chana with all the ingredients, toss them up real nice in olive oil, salt, pepper and lemon juice. Voila! You’re done.
Ingredients needed: Chickpeas, lemon, tomato, broccoli, capsicum, cucumber, olive oil onions, salt and pepper.
Time taken: 5 to 10 minutes
4. When tuna decided to go a bit fancy
This pasta practically makes itself. Just order some canned tuna and linguine pasta from online grocery portals, boil the pasta in salted water for 12 minutes, drain. While at it, toss some olive oil, tuna and 4 cloves of minced garlic, saute it. In the same pan toast some walnuts (dry fruits kab kaam aayenge) top it up with lemon juice and chop up some herbs of your choice and you’re done!
Ingredients needed: Linguine pasta, parsley, olive oil, lemon, canned tuna, walnuts, salt, garlic cloves.
Time taken: 12 to 14 minutes.
