Who said Halloween is all about costumes? From making deadly Halloween candy to making any drink look spookier, this season can be spine-chilling.
It is time to brush off the cobwebs from your home bar and cocktail glasses, as these spell-binding cocktails are knocking on your kitchen door.
1. Poisoned Apple
It is time to take a stir into a little darker witch magic!
Ingredients-
60 ml Captain Morgan Dark Rum
5 ml heavy cream
5 ml cinnamon syrup
1 medium egg white
60 ml apple juice
ice cubes
Method -
In a cocktail shaker, (without ice) add 60 ml Captain Morgan Dark Rum, 14 mml heavy cream, 14 mml cinnamon syrup, and 1 medium egg white. Shake for 30 seconds, then add ice, and shake again to chill. Strain into a coupe or fluted glass.
Slowly pour 60 ml apple juice into the same glass. Sprinkle cinnamon on top to garnish. Activated charcoal adds a jet-black hue and a light smoky flavor to a cocktail.
2. Zombie Cocktail

Ingredients -
30 ml Captain Morgan Light Rum
30 ml Captain Morgan Dark Rum
30 ml apricot liquor
60 ml orange juice
1 dash lime Bitters
1 handful ice
30 ml Captain Morgan Spiced Rum
Pineapple wedge, for garnish
Method -
Combine Captain Morgan Rum, apricot liquor, orange juice, and bitters using a cocktail shaker.
Pour into a large glass filled with ice. Top with the shot of Captain Morgan Spiced Rum, then garnish with a pineapple wedge.
3. The Grave Digger Cocktail
Ingredients -
60 ml hard cider
30 ml Johnnie Walker Black Label Scotch Whisky
Ginger ale
Crushed ice
Method -
In a 12-16 ml tumbler or high ball glass, combine the hard cider and Johnnie Walker Black Label Scotch Whisky. Fill the glass with crushed ice. Add ginger ale.
4. Spooky Screwdriver
It’s Smirnoff ‘O clock! The perfect end to a busy week.
Ingredients -
1 bottle Smirnoff Orange
45 ml Smirnoff No. 21 vodka
15 ml Grenadine
Black Rock Candy
Method –
Fill a glass with ice. In a cocktail shaker, shake together the Smirnoff Orange vodka and Smirnoff No. 21 vodka.
Pour in the cocktail. Top with a splash of grenadine.
Garnish with rock candy
