5 yummy desserts to treat your taste buds to. 

Don’t you feel your heart sinking when you go to a house party and meethe k naam pe you get wahi plain si ice cream? Why be boring and restrict yourself to ready-made ice creams in the name of desserts when you could put your creative cooking skills to some use? Let this New Year (we know it’s February) be the time for new pangas! Time to learn new recipes and surprise your guests because trust me, life’s too short to stick to only a few traditional desserts. 
Here’s presenting some of my favourite quick dessert recipes that are absolutely fuss-free and oh so yum!

S’mores Cones
All said and done if ice cream is still your weakness think out-of-the-box and make your own speedy sweet from it. Remember how we’d go out for a softy treat with our parents in our childhood? You could recreate that right at home.

Ingredients:
1 Waffle Cone
Peanut Butter, crunchy or smooth
5 to 6 Mini Marshmallows
Chocolate Chips

Method:
Take a waffle cone and line its inside with peanut butter. Fill the cone with chocolate chips and mini marshmallows. Wrap it in aluminium foil. Place it on a grill and cover for 2 minutes. Remember to flip after 1 minute. Let it cool for a while. Unwrap the foil and dig into the gooey awesomeness of your S’mores Cone.

Waffle

Healthy Brownies
People who don’t like brownies just don’t exist. They are mouth-watering and a great idea to indulge that sweet tooth. Plus, this recipe of brownies is the healthy version so you can enjoy as many as you please! Tee Hee!

Ingredients:
170gms Dark Chocolate, melted
2 Eggs
115gms Honey
40gms Whole Wheat Flour
1 Pinch Salt

Method:
Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius. Microwave the dark chocolate in safe intervals of 15 to 30 seconds, stirring occasionally until it is completely melted. Set it aside to cool. Meanwhile, take a bowl and beat the eggs until pale and foamy. Now, pour the melted chocolate and honey and whisk till they mix well. Sprinkle in the whole wheat flour and salt. Take an 8x8-inch baking tin, grease it and pour the batter in it. Bake for approximately 15 minutes. Let the brownies sit for 30 minutes to cool before slicing and serving.

Choco-Caramel Mini Cheesecake Cookie Sandwiches
This recipe ticks all the boxes of awesomeness and is a great idea for a dinner party dessert. Get ready to make your guests drool with these heavenly creamy cheesecake filled sandwiches drizzled with caramel topping. 

Ingredients:
12 Chocolate Chip Cookies
250gms Cream Cheese softened
1/4cup Icing Sugar
1/2cup Salted Caramel Topping
100gms Dark Chocolate, melted

Method:
Beat the cream cheese and sugar in a mixer for 1 minute or until smooth. Place in a piping bag fitted with a 1.5cm fluted nozzle. Pipe the mixture onto the flat side of half the cookies, Drizzle with caramel topping. Top with remaining cookies. Drizzle with chocolate and serve. Wasn’t that quick?

Banana trifle

Baileys Banana Trifles
This one’s another great dinner party dessert idea if you wish to go a little fancy and impress your guests. Remember to use wine glasses or other such cute-looking glasses for this one as that’ll make your dessert stand out even more.

Ingredients:
100ml Baileys
6 Chocolate Brownies, broken up
500gms Vanilla Custard
300gms Extra-thick Double Cream
3 Bananas, sliced
6tbsps Caramel Sauce
25gms Chocolate, grated

Method:
Mix the extra-thick double cream with 1tbsps Baileys and set it aside. Evenly distribute the brownie pieces between 6 glasses. Now, drizzle each glass with 1tbsp Baileys. Top the contents of each glass with sliced bananas, custard and Bailey’s cream. Next, drizzle the caramel sauce and garnish with grated chocolate. Time to go omnomnom!

Peanut Butter Cookies
You know how they say simplicity is elegant? Peanut butter cookies are just that. I can literally chomp on them any time of the day. Remember to serve this fresh from the oven so your guests can go ‘yummm’ with the very first bite.
Ingredients:
1cup Peanut Butter
1cup White Sugar
1 Egg

Method:
Preheat the oven to 175 degrees Celsius. Mix all the ingredients in a bowl using an electric mixer until smooth and creamy. Make small balls out of the mixture and place on a baking sheet. Now, flatten it with a fork and make a criss-cross pattern. Bake in the oven for about 10 minutes. Let the cookies cool for 2 minutes after you take them out. Enjoy!
